DAVID CORNELIOUS OVERMAN

David Cornelious Overman, 88, of Fremont, passed away on Thursday at Duke Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont with visitation afterwards. Graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Mr. Overman was born March 9, 1927, in Wayne County to the late Willie Overman and Lillie Tyndall Overman.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Marie Mozingo Overman; four sisters; one brother; and son-in-law, Jerry Howard.
He is survived by three sons, Bobby Overman, David (Betty) Overman and Randy (Susan) Overman; two daughters, Brenda (Garry) McArthur and Janice Howard; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
