SILAS BIZZELL

Silas "Hambone" Bizzell, 66, 304 Hollybrook Drive, passed away surrounded by his family Thursday at his residence.
He was born June 26, 1949, in Greene County to John D. and Gladys Williams Bizzell.
His life and memory will be celebrated Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Holiness Church in Snow Hill. His mortal frame will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Ervinette Coley Bizzell of the home; four children, Tammy Mathis (Anthony), Philip Bizzell, Ellis Jermaine Bizzell and Katie Bizzell; two grandchildren, Aundrea Mathis and Roderick Williams; five brothers; five sisters; and a host other loving relatives.
Visitation will be with the family present to receive friends will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home of Goldsboro. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
