Taner Nichole Poythress, 20, Princeton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015.
Born Feb. 8, 1995, she was the daughter of Jennifer Anne Aycock Wilkins and Dennis Randy Poythress.
She was a 2013 graduate of Princeton High School.
Taner was a compassionate and genuine soul that spread her infectious laughter and joy to everyone who knew her.
She loved horseback riding and being with her family and friends, and had a special love for animals, especially her two boxers, Hercules and Grizzly.
Funeral services will be held for Taner Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at 7 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Ferrell Hardison officiating.
She is survived by mother and stepfather, Jennifer Anne Aycock Wilkins and husband, Mike, of Princeton; father, Dennis Randy Poythress of Elm City; brother, Chase Poythress of Princeton; sisters, Brennan Poythress of Wilson and Kendall Poythress of Wilson; stepbrothers, David Wilkins of Princeton and Bryce Wilkins of Faro; stepsister, Emma Wilkins of Faro; paternal grandfather, Bill Poythress of Wilson; maternal grandparents, Earl and Angela Aycock of Kenly; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at Casey Funeral Home Chapel and also immediately after the service.
