Dennis Carlton Grant, 60, Wilson, passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at his home in Wilson surrounded by his family.
Dennis was born in Wayne County Aug. 27, 1955, to the late Carlton and Minnie Mae Raynor Grant.
He was a retired carpenter.
A service celebrating Dennis' life will be held Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronnie Wise officiating.
The family will greet friends Monday following the service.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Lisa Wiggs and husband, Daniel, of Fremont; sister, Linda Howell and husband, Leslie, of Wilson; grandchildren, Ashley Grantham and husband, Taylor, and Matthew Wilson; and one great-grandchild, Peyton Grantham.
He is also survived by a special cousin, Jimmy Jones; several nieces and nephews, including Christina Turner and husband, Daniel, Angie Hess and husband, Will, Ammie Butler and John Howell; and his great-nephews and niece, Coltin Young, Brandon Turner, Micahlynn Hess and Christopher Hess.
