NELDA RICE WILLIAMS

Nelda Rice Williams, 80, Goldsboro, died Wednesday at home.
She was born in Raydon, Okla., to the late Raymond and Martha Harris Rice.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Goldsboro.
She had worked in several offices as a secretary and bookkeeper, and retired in 1994.
A memorial service with military honors will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. and the Rev. Sydney Collins officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin D. Williams; children, Sabrina and Mike Cox and Derek and Holly Holloman; stepchildren, Derreck and Katherine Williams, Sonya Williams and Edward and Amanda Williams; grandchildren, Shay Lee Whitley, Derek Holloman Jr. and Bailey Holloman; and stepgrandchildren, Douglas Williams, Sydney Williams, Michelle Williams and Samuel Williams.
She was preceded in death by one brother and eight sisters.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to First Baptist Church, 125 S. John St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
