ELLIS ELLIS

Ellis Ellis, 26, resident of Mount Olive, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 26, while at the home of his father.
He was a member of the 2007 graduating class of Spring Creek High School, had attended East Carolina University and had completed three years of study at the University of Mount Olive.
He looked forward to assisting his dad with his business, Sun-up Produce, especially during the watermelon season in Florida. Too, he had been employed at Country View Western Store, his stepdad's business, and also at Mount Olive Family Medicine Center.
Although his formal name was Frederick Norton Ellis III, he preferred to simply be called Ellis.
He is survived by his father, Frederick Norton "Freddie" Ellis Jr. of Mount Olive; his mother and stepfather, Mary Hill Worrell and Trey Worrell of Goldsboro; a sister and brother-in-law, Kirstin Ellis Cornish and Nathan Cornish of Mount Olive; a brother, John Morgan Worrell of Goldsboro; a nephew, Joel Frederick Cornish of Mount Olive; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Wells Ellis of Mount Olive; a special aunt, Linda Kay Wells of Mount Olive; stepgrandparents, Jack and Earlene Worrell of Goldsboro; and a special extended family, the Parkers of Bowling Green, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frederick Norton "Fred" Ellis Sr.
A service to celebrate the life of this hilarious, but most polite, young man will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, and will be held at Wells-Southerland Cemetery. Dr. H. Dennis Draper Jr. will officiate, and special remembrances will be shared by Mark Parker.
The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29. At other times, friends and relatives are welcome to call at the Johnnie Mac Wells homeplace -- now the home of Linda Kay Wells -- in the Rones Chapel community near Mount Olive.
