JACK REYNOLDS ROUSE
June 29, 1944-June 5, 2015
Jack Reynolds Rouse, 70, of Kinston, passed away suddenly Friday at his home.
Jack was born in Lenoir County June 29, 1944, to the late John Leslie Rouse and Naomi Blanche Rouse.
He retired from DuPont in Kinston and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Jack was a 32nd degree Mason with Richard Caswell Masonic Lodge No. 705 A.F. and A.M. in Kinston.
He will be remembered for his love of watching western movies and as a Civil War buff.
Jack loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren.
A service celebrating Jack's life will be held by the graveside at Westview Cemetery in Kinston Monday, June 8, 2015, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ronnie Hobgood officiating. Masonic rites will conclude the service.
The family will greet friends Monday following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home, 6429 N.C. 55 West, Kinston.
Jack is survived by his wife, Etta Hardy Rouse; son, Steve Rouse and wife, Tammy, of Jackson, Mich.; granddaughters, Madelyn and Claire; and the mother of his son, Rebecca Rouse of Jackson, Mich.
He is also survived by his little buddy and grandson, Charlie Taylor.
Flowers are welcome or the family requests that memorials be sent in Jack's memory to the American Cancer Society, 930B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC.
