JANE GRADY HOLMES

Mrs. Jane Grady Holmes, 81, a homemaker and poultry farmer and lifelong resident of the Oak Ridge community near Mount Olive, passed from this life into the next Thursday night, May 21, 2015.
The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home on Sunday, May 24, beginning at 2 p.m. with funeral services following at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
Pastor Wanda Simmons will officiate, and the burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Mount Olive.
Friends and family may wish to honor her memory by making a gift to Bethel United Methodist Church (c/o Charles Ivey, 2284 Summerlin's Crossroads Road, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365) where she was a longtime member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice E. Holmes; their daughter, Deborah Holmes Benson; a grandson, Patrick Benson; her parents, Ed and Minnie Lee Sullivan Grady; a sister, Velma Grady Smith; and brothers, Edward Grady and Kermit Grady.
Mrs. Holmes is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Maurice Everett Holmes Jr. and Monica Holmes, of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Amy Holmes, Steven Holmes and Tonya Benson Tillman; a great-granddaughter, Kendall Tillman; a sister, Elizabeth Grady Garner of Holly Springs; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dan Grady of Calypso and Ernest and Dallace Grady of Kenansville; another sister-in-law, Frances Holmes Oldenkamp of near Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are by Tyndall Funeral Home.
