Clee Alfred Ross, 65, 328 Gurley Dairy Road, Pikeville, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center with his family by his side.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, U.S. 70 West in Goldsboro.
The Rev. Bill Cotton will officiate.
There will be a time of sharing with the family and friends after the graveside service and other times at the residence.
Mr. Ross was the owner/operator of Ross Roofing & Gutters for 35 years.
He was an exceptional carpenter.
He had a great love for his animals and his garden. He was known for his green thumb.
But his greatest love was for his family. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Ross was a native of Johnston County and was preceded in death by his parents, Oma Florence Deans Ross and Leonard Elmond Ross, and a brother, Arthur Ray Ross.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years, Edith Bailey Ross; sons, Clee Alfred Ross Jr. (Chrystal) and Christopher Scott Ross (Mariah), both of Selma and Jerry Wayne Narron Jr. (Melanie) of Pikeville; three daughters, Kimberly Ross Raper (Jerry) of Pikeville, Lisa Raynor Doudney (David) of South Dayton, Fla. and Wendy Narron Fields (David) of Goldsboro; six brothers, Leonard Earl Ross, Bobby Randall Ross and Kenneth Wayne Ross, all of Clayton, Glenn Elmond Ross of Raleigh, Charles Leroy Ross of Ft. Pearce, Fla. and James Marshall Ross of Wilson Mills; three sisters, Elizabeth Irene Williams and Callie Florence Stanley, both of Clayton, and Judy Lassiter Braswell of Princeton; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
