Mr. James "Jim" Allen Jackson, 64, Goldsboro, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 24, 2015.
Born Nov. 15, 1950, he was the son of Price Gale and Emma Deaton Jackson.
Following graduation from Southern Wayne High School, where he was a member of the varsity football team, Jim completed his secondary education at Atlantic Christian College, where he met the love of his life, Vickie.
Jim worked for BB&T for 40 years, primarily in Warsaw and Clinton.
Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Vickie Jones Jackson of the home; daughter, Melissa Jackson Chamoff and husband, Eric, of Raleigh; his grandchildren, whom he adored, Mae Chamoff and Jackson Chamoff both of Raleigh; sisters, Debbie Vinson of Goldsboro and Donna Sheppard of Belmont; brother, Bobby Jackson of Carrollton, Ga.; parents-in-law, William and Ilene Jones of Snow Hill; and sister-in-law, Susan Jones of Goldsboro.
A memorial service celebrating and remembering Jim's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Wheat Swamp Christian Church, 3732 Wheat Swamp Road, LaGrange, N.C., with the Rev. Hank Jarman, the Rev. Jerry Sheffield and the Rev. Earl Vaughan presiding. Inurnment will immediately follow at Jones Family Cemetery in Greene County.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence, 1103 Beech St., Goldsboro.
