James B. Irving (1954-2014), affectionately known as "Jazz," was called to the Lord Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, with his loving family by his side.
Jazz will be remembered as a beam of light, positive in all circumstances and full of determination.
Jazz's inspiring legacy is survived by his loving wife, Velvea Irving; children, LaShante', LaShayla and Jamal; siblings, Shawn, Harold "H" and Katherine "Dee Dee;" two sisters-in-law, Mychelle and Verneda; and nieces and nephews, Angela, Crystal, Candice, Marques, Angelo, Austin and Erin.
He was loved by many, and will be missed by all.
His ashes will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
"One thing I ask of the LORD, that is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock." (Psalm 27:4-5)
