HAZEL CHESTNUTT DUNN

Hazel Chestnutt Dunn, 84, died Sunday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Harriet Goodman Chestnutt, and mother of the late Ronald Dunn.
A service to celebrate Hazel's life will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rooty Branch Church Cemetery.
Family members will greet friends Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Cindy Dunn of Winterville and Scott and Bobbie Dunn of Ayden; her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Robert Plaisance of Durham; six grandchildren, Billy Dunn, Wendy Peterson, Abby Eason, Robert Mercer III, Brandon Umphlett and Freddy Dunn; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the wonderful and loving care given to their mother.
