Bobby Allen Raynor, 66, formerly of Goldsboro and owner of Cobblestone Opticians, passed away suddenly Monday, July 7, 2014, at his home in Atlantic Beach.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends following the service, and other times at the home of Melba Dail, 1700 U.S. 70 West in Goldsboro.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, July 11, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mr. Raynor was born in Johnston County Jan. 19, 1948, to the late Jasper and Christine Johnson Raynor.
He was the owner of Cobblestone Opticians, and a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Raynor was a former member of the North Carolina Opticians Association.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Allen Raynor of New Bern; his daughter, Sterling Raynor Walden and husband, Paul, of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Xylea Howell and Cailea Walden; and two stepgrandchildren, Valencia and Ella Walden, and one on the way.
