RAY FAIRCLOTH

Willie Ray Faircloth, 75, passed away early Tuesday morning at the Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.
Ray was born in Wayne County to the late Henry and Lola Brock Faircloth. For many years, Ray worked in both commercial and residential real estate sales and development. Ray's passion was golf and he was a lifetime member of the Walnut Creek Country Club. If it was a beautiful day, he enjoyed being on the links sharing shots and laughter with his friends. Ray was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge BPOE No. 139.
A service celebrating Ray's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Phyllis Vail officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church.
Ray is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janis S. Faircloth; daughter, Tara F. Stanford and husband, Michael of Alpharetta, Ga.; son, Will Ray Faircloth and wife, Matilda of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Hayden Stanford, Darby Stanford, Cameron Stanford, Parker Faircloth and Henry Faircloth. He is also survived by his niece, Jeri Drae Tucker of Raleigh and nephew, Brad Lee of Rocky Mount.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte F. Tucker-Jernigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Crystal Coast Hospice House, P.O. Box 640 , Newport, N.C. 28570 or to St. Paul United Methodist Church Youth Ministries, 204 E. Chestnut Street, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530 or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
