LARRY "BUD" COKER
July 17, 1943-July 2, 2014
Larry Earl "Bud" Coker, 70, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at his home.
Bud was born July 17, 1943 in Wayne County to the late Leon and Doris Butts Coker. Bud never met a stranger, loved meeting new people and enjoyed good conversation. A salesman at heart, Bud sold auto parts for many years and will be remembered for his love of selling anything available for the joy of closing a sale.
A graveside service was held Saturday from Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Elvin Butts officiating.
Bud is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pam Herring Coker; two children, Larry Wayne Coker and Amy Gibson and husband, James; five siblings, Clee, Cathy, Wendy, Donald and Priscilla. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie and Jerry.
