Pauline Stafford Gorrell, 93, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Princeton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Nora Stafford, and was the wife of the late Wilbur Franklin Gorrell.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her children, Lonnie Daniel "Danny" Tadlock and wife, Lana, of Goldsboro, Don Anthony Tadlock and wife, Pat, of Goldsboro and Betty T. Brantley and husband, Al, of LaGrange; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Tadlock of Dunn; two sisters, Louise Popkey of Portsmouth, Va., and Rachel Porter of Goldsboro; three brothers, Henry Stafford and wife, Ann, of Carlton, Va., O. Max Stafford and wife, Sue, of Linden, N.C., and Earl Stafford and wife, Billie Mae, of Princeton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Audrey Langston, and a son, Timothy Tadlock, preceded her in death.
The Gorrell family would like to thank the staff of Kitty Askins for its loving care during Mrs. Gorrell's time there.
