J.R. Howell, 70, Shaw Road, Kenly, died at Wilson Medical Center Thursday.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Minshew-Coley Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Dewayne Eakes officiating. Burial will be at Kenly Cemetery.
Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Ozell Christine "O.C." Howell and the late Lillie Mae Walls Howell. He was married to Teresa House Howell.
He is survived by a daughter.
Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. today.
