MILDRED P. STALLINGS
GREENVILLE -- Mildred P. Stallings, 81, died Saturday at Vidant Medical Center.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Stallings, a native of Wayne County, moved to Greenville in 1959. She was owner and operator of S. and W. Concrete Products, where she served as secretary and treasurer. She was a former Scout leader. She was a member of the Arlington Boulevard Baptist Church for more than 60 years, where she served on the flower, food and communion committees, as well as serving as an instructor for the deaf for many years.
Mrs. Stallings was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Henry Edward Stallings.
She is survived by three sons, Eddie Clifton Stallings and wife, Candy, Jimmy Shelton Stallings, and wife, Gaye, and Jeffrey Scott Stallings and friend, Ann, and a daughter, Patricia Stallings Whitehurst, all of Greenville; a sister, Barbara Parks Jones of Goldsboro; brothers, Joe Parks and wife, Pauline, David Parks and wife, Maye, and Linwood Parks and wife, Lillie, all of Goldsboro; brother-in-law, Bobby Stallings and wife, Carolyn of Raleigh; grandchildren, Andy Haddock and wife, Jeannine of Pactolus, Maecy Douglas and husband, Austin, of Washington, N.C., Sarah Beth Stallings of Raleigh, Cliff Stallings of Greenville, Clark Stallings of Wilmington, N.C., Nash Stallings of Raleigh and Eli Edwards; and great-grandsons, Garrett Hudson of Washington, N.C., and Hunter Haddock of Pactolus.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
