Marjorie Smith Capps Hensley, 91, passed away Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Marjorie was born in Wayne County, N.C., Aug. 14, 1922, to the late Dewey O. Smith and Ella Barnes Smith.
She had worked as a nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Marjorie was a member of Goldsboro Worship Center.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center, with the Rev. Danny Johnson officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Francine Capps of Newport News, Va.; son, William L. Capps II of Raleigh; daughter-in-law, Debbie Capps of Goldsboro; and sister, Christine Caudle of Salisbury.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William L. Capps, David Anderson and the Rev. Dallas Hensley; sons, Craig Capps and Dennis Capps; brother, Billy Gerald Smith; and sister, Lillie S. Jackson.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Goldsboro Worship Center, 900 W. New Hope Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the funeral service at Goldsboro Worship Center.
