RICKY L. FIELDS

Ricky Lynn Fields, 39, Pikeville, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Ricky was born in Wayne County, N.C., April 25, 1974, to Edna Gurley Fields of Pikeville and the late Bobby Joel Fields.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Ricky was a loving and nurturing son and brother, who had a kind soul, and who loved everyone. He will be remembered especially for his caring and thoughtful ways and a blessing to his family.
Ricky served in the Army Reserves.
In addition to his mother, Ricky is survived by his twin sister, Alice F. Fields and her fiancé, Robert F. Bragg Jr. of Southport; uncle, Bobby Lee Gurley of Pikeville; aunt, Frances Barnes of Cary; and several cousins and many loved ones.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Barry Stallings officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church following the service.
