Jimmy Carolyn Phillips, 58, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Carolyn was born in Wayne County, N.C., Jan. 2, 1956, to the late Jimmy Sutton and Mildred Carter Sutton.
She was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Anthony Phillips of Goldsboro; daughter, Geneva Phillips of Goldsboro; sisters, Mary Hatem of Goldsboro and Louise Pridgen of Rocky Mount; brother, Bill Lee of Nashville; and grandchildren, Jade Phillips and Justice Bass.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her best friend, Sandra Colbert.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Lee.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
