Danny Mark Wise, 42, died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wayne County to Danny Thomas Wise and the late Virginia Gail Wise.
He was previously employed with AAR Corp., Danny's Body Shop and RDD Auction Co.
He was a 1991 graduate of Southern Wayne High School.
Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by a daughter, Jenny Leann Wise of Dudley; father and stepmother, Danny and Patsy Evans Wise of Dudley; fiancée, Carol Lewis; brother and sister-in-law, William Thomas and Rose Coltren Wise of Pikeville; stepbrothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Lee Jr. and Shirley Gooding of Eureka and Rodney Ray and LeeAnn Gooding of Mount Olive; stepgrandparents, Wilbert and Doris Evans of Goldsboro; three nieces, Brittney Coltren, Amanda Wise and Regan Wise; a nephew, Sean Wise; stepnieces and nephews, Josh Ward, Stormie Gooding, Dylan Gooding, Josh Gooding and Lauren Gooding.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Bell Wise, and maternal grandparents, William and Zoda Crumpler.
