GRANTHAM -- Christell Beasley Denning, 83, Grantham, passed away Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial.
She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Myrtie Thain Beasley, and was the wife of the late Billy H. Denning.
Mrs. Denning was a member of Selah Christian Church and Eastern Star.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Selah Christian Church, with the Rev. Patrick Muston and the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. A committal service will follow in Jesse Flowers Denning family cemetery
The family will greet friends Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times, at the home of Judy and Denning Harrison.
Mrs. Denning is survived by her children, Judy Denning Harrison and husband, H.R., and Jesse William Denning and wife, Kathryn Kidd, all of Four Oaks; a sister, Avis B. Jones of Smithfield; and two grandchildren, Christopher Harrison and Jessie Rose Denning.
