DORIS LEE GODWIN TURNER

WILMINGTON -- Doris Lee Godwin Turner, 87, 624 S. Fifth Ave., Wilmington, N.C., formerly of Princeton, died Tuesday afternoon.
She was born in Johnston County Nov. 13, 1926.
Mrs. Turner was the daughter of the late Ellie Hugh Godwin and Zella Melissa Hines Godwin. She was the widow of Osburn "Boot" Turner.
Mrs. Turner was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jerry Paschall Strickland Jr., and two brothers, Charles Bryant Godwin and Hugh Wayne Godwin.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Wiley officiating. Committal service will be noon Friday, Dec. 20, at Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Lynn Turner and Donnie Yvonne Turner both of Wilmington, and two sisters, Marie Whaley of Dunn and Bonnie Woodard of Princeton.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening and immediately following the funeral service.
