LOIS COLE BLACKMAN

GRANTHAM -- Lois Cole Blackman, 80, Stevens Mill Road, passed away Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held tonight (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
Lois was born in Johnston County Aug. 13, 1933, to the late Leon and Lucy Langston Cole.
She was employed for 18 years with Tyner's Grocery in the Grantham community.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Vic Blackman; two daughters, Vickie Creech and Barbara L. Blackman of Grantham; a brother, John Cole and wife, Irene, of Coats; four grandchildren, Carla Creech, Victoria Creech, Tracy Robinson and husband, Cameron, and Nicole Olive and husband, Justin; three great-grandchildren, Haleigh Creech-Coronado, Isabella Coronado and Elliot Grace Robinson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the residence.
