James Franklin Howell, 78, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at LifeCare Hospital.
He served his country in the United States Army, and retired from Keebler as the distribution manager.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel, with Rev. Joshua Evans officiating. Interment will be in Howell Family Cemetery on Mount Carmel Church Road in Pikeville.
James is survived by his daughters, Katrina Evans of Princeton and Gail Godwin of Shallotte; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the charity of one's choice.
