MEDA "TEDDI" CLARKSTON

Meda "Teddi" Cornwell Clarkston, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, N.C. surrounded by her family.
Teddi was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on Oct. 12, 1943 to the late Robert Thomas and Alethea Harrell Cornwell. She received her criminal justice degree from University of Missouri at St. Louis. Teddi was retired as Restore manager with Habitat for Humanity in Greenville, N.C. She was kind and compassionate and had a smile for everyone. She loved her family and her greatest passion was sports. She enjoyed playing many sports, wrote about sports, coached and always watched sporting events. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Seymour Funeral Home with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating on Saturday at 11 a.m.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Clarkston Barnes and husband, Jeff of Pikeville; her granddaughter, Jennifer L. Barnes of Pikeville and her best friend, Martha Jo Hollowell and beloved pet, Charlie.
