Shelton Levon Mumford Sr., 55, 3534 Tower Hill Road, died Wednesday at the VA Medical Center in Durham.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Sand Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Kinston. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery with military honors.
He was born Feb. 19, 1958, in Lenoir County to Charlie James and Leatha Moseley Mumford. He was married to Billie Jean Mumford.
Visitation will be tonight from 2 to 7 in the Nannie D. Loftin Memorial Chapel at Loftin Memorial-J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home in Kinston.
