MOUNT OLIVE -- Alice Holloman Price, 82, passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 11, at Kitty Askins Hospice Care Center.
A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. by the graveside in Maplewood Cemetery, to be officiated by the Rev. Larry Smith and the Rev. Phyllis Vail.
Friends and relatives are being received at the residence.
Mrs. Price, a longtime member of Seven Springs United Methodist Church, known for her kind and nurturing nature, had been an inspector at Young Squire Industries, and had assisted her husband in his farm equipment business, but her main purpose was providing love and security for her loved ones and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Carol Price of the home; a brother, Rufus "Buddy" Holloman of Mount Olive; a brother-in-law, Marvin Jernigan of Mount Olive; a sister-in-law, Lessie "Deita" Price of Seven Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
While an emptiness will be felt by her absence, the family is joyful in that she has again been united with loved ones gone on before, husband, Calvin C. Price; parents, Andrew O. and Ruth Malpass Holloman; sisters, Inez H. Odom and husband, C.H., Rachel H. Sutton and husband, Emmett, and sister, Dorothy H. Jernigan.
