Johnnie Burch Potocnick, 88, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at her home.
Johnnie was born in Wayne County, N.C., Dec. 26, 1924, to the late Earl Burch and Julia Griffith Burch. She was married to the late Bill Potocnick.
She was a loyal member of Pineview Baptist Church.
Johnnie loved to cook, sew and knit, especially for her family.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Pineview Baptist Church, 3357 U.S. 117, Goldsboro, N.C., with the Rev. Wray Wheeless officiating.
She is survived by her son, John Breshears of Goldsboro; a brother, Conrad Burch of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Margaret Burch Holloman of Dudley; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Johnnie was preceded in death by her son, Louis David Breshears Jr.; her daughters, Priscilla B. Holt, Patricia B. Amory and Pam B. Duty; and three brothers.
Arrangements are by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremations Inc.
