GREENVILLE -- Delmus Ray Thompson, 106 Farelane Road, Greenville, N.C., passed away Tuesday morning, May 21, 2013, at Vidant Pitt Hospital.
Funeral will be held Monday, May 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, N.C., with the Rev. Joe A. Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery, Goldsboro, N.C.
There will be a viewing held Sunday, May 26, 2013, from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m., at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
Delmus was born in Wayne County to Rosa C. Thompson and the late Charles W. Thompson.
He graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1972.
Delmus leaves to cherish his memory his loving and precious mother, Rosa C. Thompson of Goldsboro, N.C.; his sister, Donise M. Thompson of Goldsboro, N.C.; brothers, the Rev. Marshall K. Thompson (Brenda) of Goldsboro, N.C., Travis S. Thompson (Cheryl) of Kinston, N.C., and Dexter O. Thompson of Tampa, Fla.; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 124 Orbit Road, Goldsboro, N.C.
