Clifton Jones Sr. was born Feb. 24, 1938, in Wayne County, N.C., to the late Henry and Doshie Jones. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
He is survived by his daughters Deborah McCuller, Cynthia Smith, Clarice (Richard) Franklin and Sharon (Charles Jr.) Hill; and sons, Clifton Jones Jr., Alvin (Patricia) Jones and Michael Jones.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Luke Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will be receiving friends at 518 Roberts St.
Arrangements are being handled by Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Inc.
