FREMONT -- Inez Sasser Cox, 87, went to be with her Lord and savior Monday morning, April 22, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Homegoing services will be held Wednesday evening, April 24, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Forehand Family Cemetery in Pikeville.
Mrs. Cox was born in Wayne County May 9, 1925, to the late George and Nettie Pelt Sasser.
She was a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
She is survived by a sister-in law, Ila Cox of Pikeville; brother-in law, Otis Rudolph Hill of Lucama; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends, including her church family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Norwood Cox; an infant son; her sister, Pauline Hill; and a brother, Lloyd Sasser.
