NEWPORT -- Daphne Faircloth, 80, Newport, died Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Vidant Inpatient Hospice.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Frese officiating.
She is survived by a daughter, Cathy Hairr and husband, Ron, of Raleigh; a son, Doug Faircloth and wife, Kim, of Morehead City; two sisters, Eunice Colclough of Goldsboro and Nita Boyette of Kinston; a brother, Rudolph Lewis and wife, Sue, of Goldsboro; six grandchildren, Andy Ipock and wife, Aubrey, Ashley Turner and husband, Shane, Adrianna Brookins and Ryan Justice, Jeremy Stokes, wife, Carol, Tyler Collins and Joshua Keeter: and 10 great-grandchildren, Gracie, Drew, Tana, Brandon, Adrianna, Jordan, Haleigh, Jaxon, Devyn and Ayden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Faircloth Sr.; a son, Wade Faircloth Jr.; a daughter, Wanda; and her parents, Bert and Thelma Lewis.
Visitation will follow the service at the church.
