THURSTON R. MOZINGO
July 7, 1931- April 16, 2013
LUCAMA -- Thurston R. Mozingo, Lucama, N.C., surrendered his life to the Lord Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his home.
He was born to Grover and Esther Mozingo of Columbus County July 7, 1931, and is survived by wife, Deana A. Mozingo; daughters, Diane Goldsmith and Kay Wheeler; sons-in-law, David Goldsmith and Mike Wheeler; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Thurston retired from Lee Motor Co. in Wilson, N.C., where he spent the last 26 years of his 45-year career as an automobile mechanic, and also served in the United States Army as a corpsman.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at Shackleford Howell Funeral Home in Fremont, N.C., with visitation following. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, at Pikeville Cemetery on Mount Carmel Church Road.
