ALBERTSON -- John Robert Barton Jr., 55, passed away early Tuesday, March 26, at his home.
A service of remembrance will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Mark Hobbs, and followed by visitation. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Snow Hill Church Cemetery.
Mr. Barton, a welder and metal fabricator, is survived by his wife, Eva Carol Worrell Barton of the home; two daughters, Suzanne Barton Taylor and husband, Clay Taylor, and Victoria Barton Zell and husband, Alan Zell, Jr., all of Greenville; a son, John R. Barton III of Albertson; two stepdaughters, Amanda Cotton and Jessica Ortiz both of Mount Olive; a stepson, Jeremy Hill of Mount Olive; his mother, Lila Mae Outlaw Price of Wilmington; two sisters, Alice Barton Jones and husband, Jerry Jones, of Beulaville, and Lisa Price Blizzard and husband, Tim Blizzard, of Albertson; a brother, David Price of Albertson; and four grandchildren, Claybrook Taylor, Anna Taylor, Heit Zell and Lillien Hill.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Robert Barton Sr.; his stepfather, George W. Price; and a brother, G. W. Price Jr.
