Mildred Howell Williams, 86, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, March, 25, 2013, at Evergreen Memorial Park, with the Rev. Leo Bennett officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home.
She was born in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Cova Bagwell Howell and Moody Howell.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Russell Ross Williams; sisters, Margaret Melton and John Ann Barnhill; and brother, Dub Howell.
She is survived by her son, Russell Lee Williams; daughters, Karen W. Tant and Linda W. Etheridge all of Wilson; brothers, George Lee Howell of Fletcher, Ken Howell of Princeton; grandchildren, Shannon T. Speight and husband, Scott, Michael Ross Brock and wife, Anna, Matthew Kyle Etheridge, all of Wilson; and three great grandchildren, Alexander, Greta Scott and Presley Speight all of Wilson.
Mrs. Williams worked at America Enka Corporation for seven years before becoming a homemaker. She had a sweet, gentle, spirit and a great love for her family and friends.
