WALLACE -- Lela B. Whitehead, 90, 107 Hattie Bass Land, died Thursday at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at New Elders Chapel AME Zion Church in Magnolia, with the Rev. James Paige officiating. Burial will be in Duplin Memorial Gardens.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Pearl and Hattie Parker Bass, and the wife of the late Elbert O. Whitehead.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel.
