MOUNT OLIVE -- Kenneth Marvin "Barney" Dail, 53, of the Scott's Store section near Mount Olive, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 7, 2013, at Duke University Medical Center.
A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Christopher Turner, with visitation following.
Before his decline in health, Barney was employed in construction as a carpenter/builder. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin F. Dail and Sallie Outlaw Dail; a sister, Doris Swinson; a brother, Robert Jackson "Pistol" Dail; and infant brother and sister twins.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Kornegay Dail of the home; a son, Ken Dail of Mount Olive; four sisters, Laurice Becker of Virginia, Diane Dunn and Wanda Dail, both of Mount Olive, and Janet McAllister of Illinois; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Robert Hudson of Pink Hill; and the families of the late Willard and Sadie Kornegay.
