Ruth Virginia Miles, 83, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Anitoch Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth J. Tate officiating. Burial will be in Carlton Cemetery in Warsaw.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Bryant and Flora Murphy Carlton.
Eleven children survive.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m., and at other times at the home of John and Florahetta Harrington, 106 Debbie Drive in Goldsboro, and the family will also assemble there at noon Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.
