KINSTON -- The Rev. Robert Lacy Oliver Sr., 89, died Thursday.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rivermont Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronnie Davis, the Rev. Jon Hoey and Dr. Mike Cogdill officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Apex.
He was born Nov. 13, 1923, in Richmond, Va., to the late Evan Ernest Oliver and Bernice Woolard Oliver. He was married to Mary Hudson Denson Oliver.
He is survived by 10 children.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Rivermont Baptist Church, and at other times at the home.
Arrangements are by Rouse Funeral Home.
