MOUNT OLIVE — Rosa Lee Newell Whitfield, 83, of Detroit, Mich., died Saturday, Nov. 10, at Henry Ford Hospital.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Northeast Chapel OFWB Church with the Rev. William C. Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at the Jerusalem Church Cemetery, Seven Springs.
Born in Wayne County to the late James Newell and Elizabeth “Bessie” Newell Budd, she was married to the late Amos Whitfield.
Four children survive.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at Northeast Chapel OFWB Church, 503 E. James St. Ext., Mount Olive.
The Whitfield family will be receiving guests at the home of John and Debra Best, 1015 S. Taylor St., Goldsboro, today from 4 until 8 p.m.
