Miranda Jo Blakely Ellis, 39, passed away Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Miranda was born in Wayne County Nov. 15, 1972.
For many years, she worked for Americal, where she made many lifelong friends, and later worked with the Wayne County register of deeds.
Miranda was a 1991 graduate of Southern Wayne High School.
She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Vann Spivey officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Miranda is survived by her husband, Brian Ellis; her children, Marissa Kersey, Jared Ellis and Bethany Singleton; her mother and father, Joyce and Robert Cote of Goldsboro; her brother, Tim Blakely and wife, Amanda, of Clayton; her niece, Kamryn Blakely; and nephews, Robert and Weston Blakely.
She is also survived by her best friend, April Eubanks; close family friend, Jessica Summerlin; and her beloved pets, Poncho and Kiwi.
