BETTIE "DOLL" MARIE CAPPS HESTER

PRINCETON -- Bettie "Doll" Capps Hester, 80, 154 Haven Lane, Princeton, died Wednesday evening at Johnston Medical Center.
She was born May 22, 1932, and was the daughter of the late William Haywood and Fannie Moore Capps. Mrs. Hester was the widow of William Gilmon Hester.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Keith Braswell; granddaughter, Crystal Braswell; bothers, James Capps, Earl Capps, Bobby Capps, Lonnie Capps and Ray Capps; and sisters, Pearline Sauls, Bertha Woodard and Peggy Bryant.
Mrs. Hester was a member of Riverside Free Will Baptist Church, and she attended Progressive Presbyterian Church for many years.
She was the owner and administrator of Hester Family Care and Progressive Care.
The funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Casey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Lambert officiating. The committal service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Progressive Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Hester is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn Hester and wife, JoAnn, of Princeton and Gerald Hester and wife, Blair, of Princeton; daughter, Brenda Braswell of Princeton; brothers, Carl Capps of Selma and Roy Capps of Grifton; grandson, Scotty Hester and wife, Melissa; granddaughters, Tracie Hester Smith and husband, Don, Ashley Hester and Alaina Hester Weaver and husband, Derek; and great-grandsons, Garrett Smith and Landon Hester.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday evening and immediately following the funeral service.
