WARSAW -- Robert Allen Alphin, 166 Alphin Lane, Warsaw, died Sunday at home with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home, 1056 N. N.C. 11, Pink Hill.

The family will receive friends following the services.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at the family cemetery, 166 Alphin Lane, Warsaw, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Clayton Sutton officiating.

The family is receiving friends other times at the family home place, 166 Alphin Lane, Warsaw.

Bobby was the proud owner and operator of Alphin and Sons Electrostatic Painting for the past 33 years.

He enjoyed his family, collecting old cars, tending to his cows and horses, dancing and taking his dog Boots a Bojangles biscuit.

He took pride in his home and farm, the "Lazy A." He always gave credit to three things for the success he had -- the good Lord, Lathem Wiggins and AA, which he was member of since 1976.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ancie Alphin; his loving wife of 48 years, Peggy Alphin; a daughter, Rebecca Alphin; a great-granddaughter, Chasity Alphin; and three brothers, Clifton Alphin and wife, Coreen, Melvin Alphin and Danny Glenn Alphin.

Bobby is survived by his children, Chris Alphin and wife, Cynthia, of Beulaville, Bobbie Jo Kennedy and husband, Robbie, of Warsaw, Robbie Alphin and friend, Suzie Flouton, of Mar Mac, Candie Marriner and husband, Brent, of Dudley and Charlie Thornton of Warsaw; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Sutton and husband, Danny, Allen Alphin and wife, Samantha, Robert Alphin, Justin Alphin, Ashley Marriner, Angie Houston, Amy Liecour and husband, Daniel, Lee Kennedy and Blair Kennedy; eight great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sadie Sutton, Abby, Julie Ann and Aiden Alphin, Lindsey and Hailey Hemby and Madison Kennedy; a sister, Judy Wiggins and husband, Lindy, of Mount Olive; two sisters-in-law, Barbara and Brenda Alphin both of Mount Olive; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Sue Grady of Deep Run, and her sons, Jimmy and Sam Grady.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital in honor of his great-granddaughter, Julie Ann Alphin; the MS Society in honor of his granddaughter, Jennifer Sutton; or the Cancer Society.
