DORIS E. CARLO

NAZARETH, Pa. -- Doris E. Carlo, 87, Nazareth, passed away unexpectedly and without pain Aug. 6, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born in Smithfield, N.C., she was the daughter of Alvin and Ethel Faircloth Mozingo. Doris was the wife of the late Joseph T. Carlo.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and was happiest when she was surrounded by her family enjoying a meal.
Doris was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth, where she enjoyed events with The Golden Agers.
Survivors are a daughter, Mary Mihalyo and husband, Regis, of Steubenville, Ohio; sons, Louis Carlo and wife, Karen, of Upland, Calif., and Jerry Carlo and wife, Diane, of Wescosville, Pa.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred Mozingo, Ray Mozingo, Donald Mozingo and Herman Mozingo all of North Carolina; and sisters, Shirley Kearney of Virginia and Hazel Pearce, Mary Alice Capps and Carolyn Davis all of North Carolina.
She was predeceased by brothers, Ralph Mozingo and Lester Mozingo, and sisters, Mae Smith, Thelma Jackson and Esther Phillips all of North Carolina.
Calling hours are at 10 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Nazareth, Friday, Aug. 10.
