WILSON -- Devitt Newsome Jr., 78, 1414 Forest Hills Road, a native of Wayne County, died Monday at Wilson Medical Center.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Perry's Temple Original Free Will Baptist Church, with bishop J. N. Perry officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
He was married to Lillie Holmes Newsome.
He is survived by three children.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church and at other times at the home, where it will assemble an hour prior to the funeral.
