Douglas Michael Kennedy, 54, died Wednesday afternoon at his home.
He was born in Oak Ridge, Tenn., to Carolyn L. Kennedy and the late James B. Kennedy.
Private graveside service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Charlie Taylor; brother, Don Kennedy; nephew, D.J. Kennedy; uncle, Ted Lakey; and grandson, Nathan Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Center Stage Theater, P.O. Box 1255, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
