KENANSVILLE -- Rufus Pickett, 289 W. Best Road, died Wednesday at home.
Funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church Kenansville, with elder Jacob Pickett officiating. Burial will be in Middleton Cemetery.
He was the son of the late Samuel and Icelean Whitehead Pickett, born April 11, 1947, in Duplin County. He was married to Mary Jones Pickett.
He is survived by six children.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
The family will receive friends at the home, and the funeral procession will line up Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
