JAMES "JUNE" MCIVER

PRINCETON -- Mr. James "June" McIver, resident of Princeton, passed away peacefully July 2, 2012, at his residence.
In lieu of a funeral, a public visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at St. Peter Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Church, 1011 E. Massey St., Smithfield.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m.
Mr. McIver leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 49 years, Phebia L. McIver; four children, Lynelle Davis (Paul) of White Oak, Pamela Gillis (James) of Garner, Sabrina Strykowski (Tim) of Carrollton, Va., and Jeffrey McIver of Miami, Fla.; three sisters, Jeanette Powell, Alice Royal and Vera Holmes (Russell); a brother, Willie McIver (Frances); two sisters in-law, Yvonne Nixon (Donnie) and Louella Lewis; and an aunt, Pauline Spells of Smithfield.
In addition, he also leaves six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a graveside service at McIver Cemetery in Goldsboro at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012.
Arrangements are being handled by Walter Sanders Funeral Home in Smithfield.
